Sharing the schedule with the client
The usual route is an email with the PDF attached. It works exactly until the first change. From then on every recipient holds a state that no longer applies, and no one reliably knows who has which.
What makes the attachment difficult
- The state in the inbox ages as soon as a date moves.
- Earlier versions stay in circulation and get forwarded.
- In the meeting people discuss different states without noticing.
- A document once sent can no longer be withdrawn.
The share link
A link instead of an attachment reverses the relationship: the recipient fetches the plan rather than keeping a copy. Whoever opens it sees the state that currently applies. No account is required – the link is enough, which for clients and contractors is the difference between “looked at” and “never opened”.
Part of sharing is that it ends. An expiry date limits how long the link is valid; it can be revoked at any time before that. Distribution stays traceable instead of spreading uncontrolled.
When the attachment is still right
For an annex to minutes or for the archive, the fixed PDF is the right way – there the frozen state is exactly what is needed. The link does not replace the attachment, it replaces the constant resending.

A project can be published as a share link: the recipient sees the schedule as a PDF and can download it without signing in. Validity is set when the link is created, and revoking it ends access immediately.
